DIFFERENT TATTOOING STYLES
  • Can I Get A Tattoo if I’m Under 18?
  • No. It is considered child abuse by law to tattoo a minor at either of our locations.
  • Does It Hurt?
  • Tattoos can hurt, but this isn’t something we focus on and neither should yourself. Generally places like the top of the arm, forearm, back of shoulder are great places to start if pain is an issue but if you have any more questions with regards to tattoo pain feel free to get in touch and we can speak further in detail with yourself
  • Are Infections Common?
  • Not Here, we proudly hold a 5 star hygiene rating both in our tattoo studio and tattoo laser removal clinic. We have received substantial training and years of experience in our studio. We use new single-use needles and sterile techniques to ensure you won’t leave with any germs. After each tattoo your InkDen tattoo artist will talk you through tattoo aftercare as well as giving yourself a tattoo aftercare leaflet for reference.
  • Can Tattoos Conceal Stretch Marks Or Scars?
  • Yes, but to a varying degree of success. Due to the nature of scars and stretch marks, there tattoo. The texture of the skin will not be changed by a tattoo; thus, some of these marks will still be visible but may be less noticeable. Feel free to get in touch and we will happily speak in further detail with any issues.
  • How Long Until I Can Swim After Getting Tattooed And What Else Should I Avoid?
  • Most tattoos take a few weeks to heal and during that time it is best to avoid long soaking, friction and scratching/picking. Sunburn (or tanning) can also damage a new tattoo and yield painful results.
  • What Is The Price Range For Tattoos?
  • Prices start at £30 (shop minimum) and are quoted by your artist according to design, size, location, etc. An artist must be able to see your completed design in person and discuss with you size, location, etc. in order to provide accurate pricing. Remember, the best price doesn’t necessarily yield the best results.
  • Is it customary to tip your artist/piercer?
  • If you are happy with their work, please feel free to do so. Tips are always appreciated. We pride ourselves on our artwork and 5 star hygiene rated studio. If you don’t feel like a tip is for you we would ask if you could leave a review, we always love to hear your feedback.

  • Gently remove cling film 3-4 hours after tattoo is finished.
  • Wash carefully in warm water. Rinse and gently pat dry with a kitchen roll or tissue, don’t use toilet roll. Always make sure that your hands are clean before applying cream or use disposable gloves.
  • Gently apply a thin layer of a good Tattoo aftercare product.
  • Every 4-6 hours for approximately 10 days (average healing time for a tattoo) apply thinly as too much prevents the skin/tattoo from breathing, and can cause leaching of the colours. If this happens, discontinue use, wash the tattoo, pat dry, and consult your tattoo artist at your earliest convenience. Do not apply alcohol-based products, hydrogen peroxide or gauze, Vaseline, lanolin or petroleum based products.
  • After 5 to 14 days, the tattoo may start to peel (this is normal – like a sunburn) and scab.
  • DO NOT pick or peel the skin away. Let it fall off naturally during washing or application of tattoo cream. Fresh skin will soon replace the dead skin. Colours may fade during the process, but will return when healing is completed.
  • After a few weeks, all scabbing will be gone, but the area may still be sensitive.
  • Continue regular cleaning and application of tattoo aftercare for proper aftercare of your tattoo. Do not scratch.
  • To avoid any possibility of bacteria transmission:
  • do not allow anyone to touch your tattoo until healing is complete.
  • Don’t drink alcohol or take any drugs:
  • 1 day before and minimum 4 day after.
  • Wear clean clothes.
  • Cotton is recommended Avoid contact with woollen/synthetic clothing. Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothing or any material which could damage your tattoo. Avoid areas where bacteria could be present
  • Avoid:
  • direct sunlight, sunbeds, UV, bathing in saltwater or water with chlorine content (swimming pools) saunas.
  • Wait at least 20 days before swimming in the sea or pool or using the sauna.
  • Before exposing your tattoo to strong sunlight or UV, wait at least 20 days and use a high factor sun cream. Exposure to the sun is the major cause of tattoo fading, but after a few months you may sunbathe in moderation. Always use a sun block (at least SPF-30 sunscreen that provides UVA and UVB protection).
  • In future:
  • it is recommended to moisturise your tattoo once a week with a body lotion.

  • How should I prepare for treatment?
  • Laser Removal is something we try to avoid here at Inkden Tattoo and Laser Removal clinic. But with times changing, and tattoos with it, it’s inevitable that some types and styles of tattoos will go from shit hot to just… shit. If you’ve got regrettable ink that needs to go, then laser removal is the answer.
  • Here at Inkden Tattoo Laser Removal Clinic we have compiled a list of suggestions to make the process of preparing for your laser removal session as simple as possible.
  • Before your laser removal treatment we suggest avoiding sunbathing, sun beds or self tanning products for at least 4 weeks leading up to your treatment, especially if you have sensitive skin. Sun tans must be completely faded before treatment can commence, as excessive pigmentation can lead to damage to the skin, blisters and “ghost” effects, which are where the skin becomes whitened where the laser has removed the tattoo. Sunbathing, sun tans and fake tans. Do not use hair removal methods such as shaving, waxing, epilating, plucking, depilatory cream or electrolysis hair removal on and around the treatment area from 4 days before your treatment to the day of treatment. This is essential for the process to work effectively. Avoid aspirin, alcohol and drugs for a minimum of 24 hours prior to your treatment to prevent pin-point bleeding. Aspirin, alcohol and drugs. On the day of your treatment avoid using cosmetics, perfume, deodorants or face and body creams or moisturisers on the treatment area. They create a barrier on the skin leading to a less effective laser removal session. Do try using a local anaesthetics cream, which is a common numbing cream available at most chemists. It will make the laser removal process a lot more comfortable.
  • You may also find loose cotton clothing is more comfortable to wear once your treatment is complete, so come dressed appropriately.
  • Don’t worry about where the tattoo is that will be getting removed- here at Inkden Tattoo Laser Removal Clinic we have a specialised facility designed so you will have complete privacy during the entirety of your treatment.
  • And don’t forget- tattoos are not forever.
  • Laser removal can’t be rushed and your skin needs time to heal and remove the ink, but each session is quick and easy, and we try to make the experience as pleasant as possible here at Inkden Tattoo Laser Removal Clinic. By the end of your sessions you’ll be ready for a life without hiding an embarrassing or unfortunate tattoo, or maybe to book in for a new fantastic piece of ink. You can decide.
  • Aftercare
  • Whilst you may be getting excited about having your treatment with us here at Inkden Tattoo and Laser Removal Clinic Blackpool, the process after your laser removal session is just as important. The laser breaks down the ink particles in your tattoo, but your body flushes this out over a prolonged period of time- from anywhere between 6 weeks to a year. So it’s integral to your tattoo removal that you follow some strict rules to ensure a good outcome.
  • In the days after your laser removal treatment you will find loose cotton clothing more comfortable.
  • It is softer against your skin and won’t cause any unnecessary abrasion on a very sensitive area.
  • Avoid vigorous exercise and swimming as this can cause irritation and inflammation, both reducing the effectivity of the laser removal session as well as being painful.
  • If you play contact sports we advise avoiding doing so for a short period of time, as your skin will be more sensitive. Try not to use makeup and perfumed products on the treatment area, as these will cause irritation. In the case of irritation, we recommend using a lotion containing Aloe Vera- we give you a small amount after each session and you can use it as much as needed to help soothe the treatment area and make it more comfortable.
  • Hot baths, showers and saunas can cause irritation, reducing the effectivity of the laser removal session.
  • We suggest quicker and cool showers, which will also help soothe the treatment area. And, most importantly, avoid tanning after treatments completely. When sunbathing after your final treatment we strongly suggest a sunscreen with a UVA 5 star rating and UVB protection factor 50. As with tattoos, the results of your laser removal treatment depends heavily on how you look after it once you leave Inkden Tattoo Laser Removal Clinic. So good luck, and don’t forget that if you have any questions we are open to come in or call on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday between 10:00AM and 6:00PM, and Friday, Saturday between 9:00AM and 5:00PM. We are also available 24 hours on our social media- send us a message and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
  • We have 7 years of experience removing tattoos and over 20 years of tattooing experience.
